Ruben Nyanguila is an Africa reporter at Semafor, based in Kinshasa, covering mining, finance and geopolitics across the DR Congo and Africa.

He previously spent a year with Lighthouse Reports, a Netherlands-based investigative newsroom, working with its Borders newsroom and contributing to The Visa Empire: Borders as a Business, a cross-border investigation into the outsourced visa industry.

Earlier, he worked as a news photojournalist with Anadolu Agency, contributed for more than two years to RFI’s network of bloggers, and worked with Pin Africa as a visual journalist covering environmental stories from the DRC.
